Dr. Jeanette Cates, founder of TechTamers, has a PhD in
Instructional Technology and Design. She has had more than 25 years
of experience in designing materials that incorporate good user
design, good navigation, and good information presentation. Dr.
Cates has been designing websites since 1995. She has helped numerous
businesses and organizations put their information online. She has
written more than a dozen online courses. Some of her web-related
clients include Apple Computer, Inc., The T.H.E. Institute, The
Heart of Texas chapter of the National Speakers Association, Jim

Sheryl Murphy, Division Head for TechTamers, is a deadline-driven
web designer with progressive experience in the e-learning industry.
She has had experience in designing customized media to make online
learning more interactive and effective. Sheryl holds a Bachelor
of Arts degree and a Master of Arts in education. Her strong organizational
and time management skills added to her ability to learn new software
quickly, makes her an ideal part of a virtual project-based team.

Why have a flat fee?
Many people who are new to the web want to know exactly how much
it will cost. While traditionally, design work is done on a project-by-project
basis, TechTamers feels that that system provides a lot of ambiguity
for newcomers. Instead, we want to encourage everyone to get their
feet wet with their own website. The only way to do that is to get
a website and start working with it.
We have spent a lot of time and effort to design as extensive a
site as possible for most entry-level sites. We customize the graphics
and look-and-feel for you. So while other designers criticize the
practice of providing specific sites for a set fee, we think that
you, our clients, are more comfortable with this system.
What type of guarantee do you offer?
We want you to be a satisfied customer. We want you to recommend
us to your friends. So we want to do the best possible job for you.
That's why we only ask for half of the fee up front. When we agree
that your site is ready, then you pay the remaining half. What better
guarantee is there?

You'll be working with us throughout the process of putting your
site up.
- You'll provide all of the information to be sure it says what
it should.
- You'll approve all of the design before the site goes "live."
- While we'll recommend web hosts that will fulfill your needs,
you will make the final decision.
- You will have all of your site passwords and the instructions
from your web host.
- At no time will we "take over your site."
You'll be involved every step of the way.
